We’re taking a detour from the regularly scheduled programming. Today we’re talking about a few of my favorite things.
First things are my doll things. I’m an adult doll collector and watch many content creators who are of that community and Five Below has been shown on many. The first set of the Teeny Tinies—which is what they’re called, is the charcuterie set. It’s an adorable set with a cutting board with the wood design, a separate plate with crackers and cheese. Other separate pieces of cheeses, prosciutto, cheese wheels, sauces, grapes and more.
The second Teeny Tinies set that I got is the Greek Food one. It’s another amazing set that has beef kebabs, Greek salad, baclava, olive oil and much more.
The final set I got is the Barbecue set. It comes with a grill, which I feel has to be set on something taller, bc it is rather short. It comes with a propane tank, kebabs, a hamburger with cheese and tomatoes that can be disassembled and reassembled. Grill plates, a steak on a plate that are separate pieces. A ketchup and mustard bottle, utensils, and two hotdogs and a separate bun. I truly love the detail on all the Teeny Tinies sets and at the price point of $5 versus Mini Brands it’s at the same level of quality to me . And I love Mini Brands too so
Keeping with my doll collecting hobby, I’m working on sewing doll clothes but also buying doll clothes as well. Again, I’ve been influenced by the doll collecting influencer community and I found one of the Strawberry Shortcake Glam Squad doll outfits.
I got an Orange Blossom set that comes with a yellow floral dress, white shall, orange crop top, orange heels, orange and white checkered bucket hat and green purse.
I remember when Barbie would come out with so many outfits and recently it’s difficult to find Barbie clothes that I like. And the sets are almost $12, this set was $4. With all you get again I have to give it to Five Below.
Now, we’re getting into more personal use items. I knew at the end of the summer that this winter I was not going to be left out in the cold…Did you get the pun?
Anyways, I knew I was going to purchase a cordless heated blanket. Ever since I got this heated cordless throw I don’t know how I lived without it. I wear it without the heater and it’s still so warm. And this is coming from a person who is anemic and constantly cold and deals with body temp issues. I can take this throw with me in the car, to the store. And it helps keep me warmer.
Now, notice how I said warmer, I didn’t say warm bc due to the battery this isn’t meant to be used at a high level, which is has 4 of—but the battery isn’t sufficient to last super long, but it does charge super quick.
I use this throw everyday. I’m wearing it right now. LOL
Moving along to the fun stuff.
I could not find the Dark Chocolate Swiss Miss so that led me to try another brand called Premium Quality Cocoa Classics, preferably the Chocolate Supreme mix. It’s 6 ounces of deliciousness. And it’s a bold, non dry after taste of chocolatey goodness.
Another fun thing is what I’ve been reading.
I have almost completed the Tracy Deonn Legendborn trilogy. I’m on the last book—I won’t say final bc I believe there’s more. But I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these books. The first book was great, the second book was better, and now I’m on book number three and ready for the journey to begin.
I paid for the first book. The other two books I’ve checked out from the library. I’m grateful to have the access to books and enjoy going to pick up my interlibrary looks that are awaiting for me. It still floors me that I can go to the library and get up to 99 items that I want at any time for free.
Please use you’re freedom to get a library card. And to the parents, please take your children to the library and let them explore.
Library’s are safe places and important to the foundation of our society. They have knowledge there, they allow an escape, not only in the books but for unhoused ppl. They’re just great places.
But also, if you can go to you’re local bookstore and see if they can order it or have it too.
Keeping with the staying warm policy, I put my fuzzy Ugg looking boots on here. I have a pair of Uggs and also other fur boots as well. All three keep my feet warm and are comfy so that’s all I need them to do. I did buy my non Ugg boots off season at like $12-$15. But I believe these Walmart one’s are like $40, which isn’t bad.
So, I believe I’ve talked about finally getting a trench coat. I have it and it makes me feel like Carmen SanDeigo. I wanted to get a trench coat that wasn’t expensive. Often times, I want things and I set a price that I’m willing to pay and I usually come across it. This is what happened with my trench coat.
I found it for $34 at Primark and snatched it up.
Now what’s weird is that the website switches the price when you look online, but also, evidently, it’s sold out anyway so…
But yeah, I have the trench coat. I don’t know when I’m going to wear it, but it has to be soon bc I’m nearing heavy coat season.
I like Primark, they have fashionable stuff and stylish looks. Sometimes I use them to see what’s in fashion then find the pieces I want somewhere else.
I was introduced to Primark when I lived in Florida and thankfully I found another one where Iive now.
